7 Organic Grey Hair Remedies

Premature greying of hair is a common cause of concern among youth. With the changing dynamics in India, almost all young people suffer from issues which may be causes of premature greying of hair. 1. Amla

It is also called the Indian Gooseberry. Amla is rich in Vitamin C and anti-oxidants. It has benefits on the skin and has natural blackening properties if kept exposed. Amla mixed with Henna provides great benefits to the hair. Amla can also be mixed with lemon and applied 30 minutes before washing. You may char amla in coconut oil and apply to your hair overnight. This has great results. Eat an amla a day to enjoy its hidden benefits.

2. Curry Leaves

Boil curry leaves in coconut oil. Let it char and then let cool. Apply this combination to your scalp for fruitful results. Apply this combination on your hair at least twice a week to get noticeable results.

3. Ribbed Gourd

This is also called ‘turai’ in Hindi. Ribbed gourd has powerful benefits to restore the pigmentation of hair. Dry the vegetable. Soak in coconut oil for 3-4 days. Boil the mixture until charred black and let cool. Apply it to your scalp and hair. Rinse after an hour or leave it applied overnight to rinse out in the morning. Make sure you put an old cloth on your pillow.

4. Black Tea

Drink some and apply some. Black tea has dust cutting properties and also has a natural black color. This is very effective in cleaning out the scalp and removing any kind of blockages. Boil black tea in water and let cool. Rinse your hair with black tea and wash off. Do not apply any soap or shampoo to the hair.

5. Henna

Since ages this has been a favorite natural hair color for women in Asia. Henna imparts a natural brown color to hair. It also shields the hair from graying sooner. Grey hair remedies like applying Henna to hair once in a fortnight dispenses wonderful results. Combine henna with hibiscus, reetha or soap nut, shikakai and an egg. Add amla extract immediately before applying the solution to the hair. You may also add some black tea to the mixture.

6. Coconut Oil

The natural hair guard – coconut oil, nourishes, smoothens and protects our hair like no other oil. Coconut oil is rich in minerals and vitamins which help restore the pigmentation of hair and prevent the hair from drying or getting damaged. It acts as a natural sunscreen and one of the best grey hair remedies to try. Mix a few spoons of lemon juice for improved results, when you are planning to wash your hair.

7. Guava Leaves

Guava leaves have a thick and matte texture. They are rich in Vitamin C. Grind a few guava leaves and apply the paste to your hair. When applied on a regular basis, the results can be noticed easily.
